| Alcan Kitimat Smelter: Rectifier Drawing Standardization & Upgrade |

| General scope of work: |
|
| Working together with a Senior Electrical Technician, GV Bashforth & Associates Ltd. was required to develop approximately fifty prototype control drawings that would be used for each of the seven pot lines at the Kitimat Smelter. |
|
| Once this was completed, all existing relevant information for each pot line was rearranged to comply with these prototype drawings, accounting for actual differences between the pot lines. As a final step, where existing information was unclear or missing, on-site field inspections were made to determine the as-built status of the various drawings. |
|
| GVB&A was able to help this valued client prepare a logical, accurate and standardized set of electrical control drawings for each of the pot lines, with the potential for enhancing troubleshooting and reducing long term maintenance costs. |
